With peaked chalet-style roofs of thatched palm, spacious private balconies and an abundance of rich, local hardwoods, the bungalows feature the traditional architecture of the Bajau Laut tribe, yet offer all the amenities of a modern hotel room, including hot and cold showers, coffee makers and mini bars, electric ceiling fans and even air conditioning in a number of the bungalows.

Sipadan Water Village Resort House Reef

Before heading out on a dive boat, guests will want to get their flippers wet at the resort's own house reef, accessible directly from the Sipadan Water Village Resort Dive Centre. Featuring a sandy bottom and a forest of rich corals, Paradise 1 and Paradise 2 are home to green turtles, ornate ghostpipe fish and flamboyant cuttlefish, as well as several species of ray including the Blue-spotted mask ray and the Whiptail ray. Paradise 2 is known for its distinctive Staghorn coral, home to the elusive and colourful mandarin fish.

The shallow depth (9 to 15 meters) make these two dive sites ideal for experienced and novice divers alike, and are particularly convenient for guests wishing to make night dives without having to actually leave the resort!
